The Outside Sales Representative Trainee role will initially begin in the Warehouse to support the building of a foundation and understanding of the products Surface Prep sells. The successful candidate will then progress to a role in the front office to work with our Customer Service Team to develop an understanding of the CSR role, our customers, and our internal systems. Ultimately, the candidate will move into an Outside Sales position selling products and services offered by the company to current and new clientele. The expected turn-around from warehouse to the Outside Sales role would be approximately 6-9 months. Supervisory Responsibilities: Not applicable Duties/Responsibilities: Build and maintain a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads. Schedule appointments with potential and existing customers within territory. Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand product or service needs; identify and suggest products and services to meet those needs. Demonstrate the functions and utility of products/services to customers, based on their needs. Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve issues that may arise post-sale. Maintain communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest. Maintain detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems using CRM program. Provide periodic territory sales forecasts. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills. Strong sales and negotiation skills. Organizational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail. Ability to prioritize customer inquiries and requests.
