The Quality Assurance Inspector will inspect incoming product to ensure specific grade standards are met and evaluate the quality of incoming product against expected retail standards. Actively contribute to a positive and productive working environment. Here’s where you’ll be focusing: • Request government inspections and facilitate sampling process for government inspectors, on Category Manager's instruction • Inspect inventories and outbound product to ensure continued quality standards throughout the cold chain • Coach distribution centre supervision to ensure proper stock rotation and product handling • Evaluate product returned by customers and direct distribution centre supervision on handling • Facilitate returns to vendors and complete documentation • Facilitate the shipment and timely return to inventory of product designated for re-grade, on Category Manager’s direction • Perform quality checks on inbound perishable freight • Assist with product recalls • Ripening and gassing of bananas (NL only) • Check dates on selected items as.
