Practice Area: Patent Agents - Electrical Engineering,Patent Agents - Computer Science, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, A law firm is seeking a highly qualified CPU Design Technology Specialist to join their team in New York City. The specialist will be responsible for drafting patent applications, corresponding with patent offices, advising on patent litigation matters, and conducting interviews with inventors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, with expertise in CPU Design and a minimum of 2 years of patent prosecution experience.Duties:Draft patent applications for innovative clients, providing detailed descriptions and figures.Correspond with patent office regarding pending patent applications.Advise patent litigation teams based on technical and scientific expertise.Conduct interviews with inventors to gather information on new ideas.Requirements:Strong background in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.Experience in CPU Design, including virtual memory management.Advanced degree in a related field preferred.Minimum of 2 years of patent prosecution experience.Superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.Registration before the U.S. Patent Trademark Office is preferred.Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (required).Advanced degree in a related field (preferred).Certifications:Registration before the U.S. Patent Trademark Office (preferred).Skills:Expertise in CPU Design and virtual memory management.Proficient in drafting patent applications.Strong analytical and technical abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Attention to detail and ability to work independently.Job Location: New York City, NYBenefits: The firm offers a competitive benefits package, including:Flexible hybrid work environment.Award-winning retirement and profit-sharing plans with employer contribution.Annual Technology Allowance.Family-friendly atmosphere with backup childcare.Health and wellness initiatives.Comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage.
