Issue tools and supplies to individuals on a daily basis. Manage scrap - including solids and liquids, paint, oils, grease, solvent , etc. Items that will be consumed on the jobs are billed to the correct job. Daily walkthrough of the shop, recover tools that are not in use and resecure in the tool room. Manage warehouse supplies. Stock to ensure operations through nightshift, weekends and holidays. Check all tools for serviceability and ensure proper condition before returning to stock. Reports all issues to Purchasing for repairs or replacements. Ensure length standards are within calibration date. Coordinate with Purchasing for annual calibration. Report any discrepancies to the Purchasing Area Manager. Input all consumed hardware items into Global Shop systems. Scan paperwork in Network Job Folder as assigned by the Accounting Area Manager. Ensure paperwork is filed into the correct job folders. Check Fire Extinguishers throughout the facilities at least quarterly to make sure they are charged correctly. Works with Purchasing to ensure they get re-charged as necessary. Keep the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) for all facilities up to date. What skills are needed? Knowledge of industrial tools and equipment a plus Basic written and oral communication skills are required. High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent The ability to do basic math is desired. This job can be physically demanding.
