Description: Physician Assistant needed for Orthopedics practice within multi-specialty health care clinic in Layton, Utah. Responsibilities : Assist in surgery and throughout the operative day at the hospital. Conduct physical exams, assess health status, order and interprets tests, prescribe medications, provide injections, and treat injuries and illnesses. Consult with physician as needed and refer to physicians for more complicated medical cases or cases that are not a routine part of a PA's or NP's scope of work. Triage and evaluate patient problems. Review patient records, interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed in conjunction with the physician or under the direction of a physician. Monitor therapies and provide continuity of care. Interview and advises patient regarding health and illness prevention; instruct patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions Expectations for Success: For Physician Assistants - bachelor's degree and successful completion of accredited physician assistant program; national certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants; current state PA license.
