Position Summary: Our client, a dynamic firm based in Covington, LA, is seeking a Strategic Pricing Analyst to enhance their pricing strategies and profitability analysis. This role is pivotal in developing analytical solutions that drive the company's strategic initiatives, including pricing models, profitability assessments, and competitive analysis. The ideal candidate is analytically skilled, detail-oriented, and adept at influencing decision-making within fast-paced environments. Key Responsibilities: Core Duties: Develop and refine analytical solutions to improve pricing strategies and profitability. Assist in creating robust pricing models that accurately reflect P&L calculations and cost considerations. Support Functions: Aid in formulating commercial growth strategies through insightful customer/market analysis and business model innovations. Interpersonal Engagement: Communicate effectively with senior leadership to persuade and inform them about analytical approaches, potential risks, and opportunities related to strategic initiatives. Technical and Administrative Tasks: Automate and create diagnostic reporting to analyze trends and conduct root cause analysis. Develop new data feeds to enhance visibility into internal and external profitability drivers. Compliance and Ethics: Identify and correct pricing discrepancies and leakages, and conduct thorough price waterfall analysis to pinpoint improvement areas. Flexibility for Role-Specific Tasks: Act as a cross-functional leader on various departmental projects, continuously developing tools and processes to influence business decisions effectively. Required Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Pricing, Analytical, or Strategic function within a fast-paced corporate setting. Education: Bachelors degree in a related field preferred. Skills: Exceptional analytical capabilities, proficiency with Excel (including functions, pivot tables, and modeling), and familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL is advantageous. Physical Requirements: Primarily a desk-based role requiring extensive use of a computer. Other Requirements: Natural inquisitiveness for data exploration, mining, and insight generation to drive business decisions.
