The LSI Foster Care and Adoption team is looking for a compassionate, dedicated full-time Foster Adoptive Family Training Coordinator to make an impact in the lives of Iowa children and families. As part of the LSI team, it is our job and our privilege to walk alongside the families we serve and empower them toward success. DUTIES The Foster Adoptive Family Training Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all pre-service training for potential foster and adoptive parents. This role is crucial to building a strong network of Iowa foster and adoptive parents, and providing safe and happy homes for children.The Foster Adoptive Family Training Coordinator identifies, develops, implements, facilitates, and delivers trainings to families and kinship care providers throughout western Iowa. These trainings include, but are not limited to: - Parenting strategies - Working with birth parents - Child development - Mandatory reporting - Trauma-sensitive topics - Cultural responsiveness - Mental health diagnosis - Anger and behavior managementThrough trainings, the person in this role will also be responsible for identifying and monitoring peer trainers.
