HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST SUMMARY ShelterCare's Human Resources Department of Eugene, OR is seeking to hire a full-time Human Resources Generalist to provide support in all HR functions for a small HR office. The HR Generalist iis responsible for supporting the Director of Human Resources by managing assigned HR activities at ShelterCare including recruitment, onboarding, and training strategies and helps to ensure that all activities, policies and procedures meet the mission, vision and values of the agency. ShelterCare is considered a healthcare organization. Following state rule 333-019-XXXX, covered healthcare providers and healthcare staff must provide their employer: Proof of vaccination showing they are fully vaccinated; or documentation of a medical or religious exemption. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The Human Resources Generalist earns a competitive wage of 24.88 - 30.20/hr , depending on experience . This is a non-exempt, hourly position. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST As a HR Generalist, you will carry out identified activities that meet the defined goals and outcomes for Human Resource activities by the Director of Human Resources that meet the needs and requirements of the agency. In partnership with the Director of Human Resources, regularly review current policies and procedures with assigned program staff. Conduct onboarding of new employees, represent the HR department in interviews, respond to unemployment claims, and other HR transactional work. Coordinate with all department and program leaders as appropriate. Participate in Employee Committees as appropriate. QUALIFICATIONS Required A degree in Human Resources or the equivalence in years of experience. Effective communication, negotiation and collaboration, scheduling and time management, leadership, risk management, critical thinking and problem solving, use of technology for email, spreadsheets, documents. Must have presentation skills for training and workshops. Ability to successfully pass a DHS background check.
