Senior Security Control Assessor Type: Full Time Location: Arlington, VA Overtime Exempt: Yes Reports To: ARMADA HQ Security Clearance Required: Active Top Secret/SCI The F-35 Joint Program Office (F-35 JPO) requires program security support services to support its critical mission of developing, deploying and sustaining the next generation strike fighter aircraft. The Senior Security Control Assessor (SCA) is responsible for conducting a comprehensive assessment of the management, operational, and technical security controls employed within or inherited by an Information System (IS) to determine the overall effectiveness of the controls (i.e., the extent to which the controls are implemented correctly, operating as intended, and producing the desired outcome with respect to meeting the security requirements for the system). Senior Security Control Assessors also provide an assessment of the severity of weaknesses or deficiencies discovered in the IS and its environment of operation and recommend corrective actions to address identified vulnerabilities. Responsibilities will cover Collateral, Special Access Program (SAP). Duties & Responsibilities: The Senior Security Control Assessor shall provide Cybersecurity Services throughout the cybersecurity lifecycle process for Information Systems (IS), Platform Information Technology (PIT), Information Technology (IT) Services, and IT products that are or will be assessed or assessed and authorized by Authorizing Officials (AOs) within the F-35 Enterprise. The Senior Security Control Assessor shall perform all six steps RMF/JSIG processes, with a focus on Steps 4 and 5, Assessing Security Controls and Authorizing the System. Perform research of known threats and threat vectors on variety of classified systems. The Senior Security Control Assessor shall review documentation and provide guidance for cleaning and sanitizing to include but not limited to; magnetic memory connected storage devices, system memory, data backup devices, mother/system boards, optical media, servers, backup media, Read Access Memory/Read Only Memory/Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory/Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory/Field Programmable Gate Array and Redundant Array of Independent Disks/Small Computer System Interface (RAM/ROM/EPROM/EEPROM/FPGA and RAID/SCSI). With approval of the AO, the Senior Security Control Assessor shall be responsible for writing sanitization and/or destruction procedures that enable field activities to perform sanitization of media and Low Replaceable Units. Support of this task may require in-country support which will be specified at the TO level. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): Must be able to lift 50 lbs Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) Required Certifications: IAT or IAM Level III certification (SCA II) within one year of hire. Minimum/General Experience: The Senior Security Control Assessor shall possess the following required qualifications: TS/SCI Clearance with eligibility for access to Special Access Program (SAP) Information. Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph and have a Periodic Reinvestigation no older than five years. 10 years of experience Demonstrated knowledge of aircraft programs and systems. Minimum Education: Master's Degree in a related discipline or, Bachelor's Degree plus 4 years of work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree.
