Position Summary: Transports guest luggage to/from guestrooms. Escort guests to rooms and informs guests of all hotel services and features. Responsible for attending to immediate needs of each guest upon arrival and follow through attention throughout stay. Thorough knowledge of all hotel services and amenities pointing out all areas of interest in the Hotel and Guest Room. Essential Duties: Ability to understand guest inquiries and provide efficient and useful response. Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous. Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals Ability to think clearly, quickly, maintains concentration and makes concise decisions. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all guest information and pertinent hotel data Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision Ability to analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays and evenings if necessary. Must have a professional image and personality exuding confidence and leadership skills. Ability to be a clear thinker in pressure situations and exercise good judgments Ability to work well under pressure of check-in/check-out of guests and in coordinating all departmental functions Ability to remain stationary at assigned post for extended periods of time. Education: Required: High School Graduate Possess a good command of the English language and the ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate with guests, both in person and by telephone. Ability to provide legible communication. Desirable: A college education or training in the hospitality industry. Previous experience as a Bellman or Doorman in a luxury market.
