Practice Opportunity Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital is seeking a board certified/board eligible Outpatient Psychiatrist with experience and strong interest in providing outpatient psychiatric care to adult and pediatric patients in Grand Rapids, MN. Scope of Practice In this practice, the psychiatrist will have the opportunity to provide specialized medical care to patients in the evaluation and treatment of mental and addictive disorders. Clinical excellence will be ensured by focusing on quality and the patient experience. In addition to focusing on outpatient psychiatric care and medication management at Grand Itasca, this role will include a medical directorship at a local Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF). This directorship role is 8 hours each week and is in partnership with North Homes Children and Family Services, a private, non-profit agency that provides comprehensive mental health services to children and families across Northern Minnesota. Medical Group Description 12 Family Physicians 4 Internal Medicine Physicians 5 Hospitalists 5 Emergency Department Physicians 14 Certified Nurse Practitioners 5 CRNAs 4 General Surgeons 3 Pediatricians 3 OB/Gyns 1 Urologist 1 Oncologist 1 Cardiologist 1 Neurologist 2 Chiropractors 6 Physician Assistants 4 Radiologists (Radiological Associates) 5 Orthopaedic Surgeons (Orthopaedic Associates) Grand Itasca Clinic has 10,000 to 12,000 patient visits per month. The primary service area of the clinic includes roughly 50,000 people. In the local and surrounding community, Grand Itasca is the dominant provider of primary health care services.
