Els for Autism® located in Jupiter, Florida, envisions a world of limitless possibilities for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families.The global mission of Els for Autism is to transform the lives of people with autism and those who care for them through lifetime services and collaborative partnerships.We are in need of volunteers to assist in selling hand made ocean themed items operating as the "Sea of Possibilities" (SOP). These sales support our Adult Day Program for those on the spectrum aged 22 and better. This program empowers and supports program participants to gain essential life skills for employment and independence.Volunteers are needed to attend various art shows, green markets, and other special events throughout Palm Beach County.Duties include assisting with set up and breakdown of the SOP display, and providing customer service to shoppers. Driving the Foundation's van with the merchandise to and from an event is also a volunteer opportunity.Flexible 4 hour shifts are available: Friday mid-day to evening hours; Saturdays (various times depending on the event); Sundays at the PBG Green Market from 6-10 AM and 10AM-2:30PM; and some evenings during the week for special events.A background check is required and initial in-service trainings to learn about Autism Spectrum Disorder are required.This is a volunteer position based in Palm Beach County Florida.To learn more about the SOP Microbusiness including viewing selected merchandise, go to https://www.elsforautism.org/sea-of-possibilities/ Job Posted by ApplicantPro
