Job Summary: The Senior Dining Room Manager is a leader and expert in food and beverage services. They are the second most senior-level position overseeing the à la carte food & beverage services in the Grill Room. The individual collaborates daily with their leaders to ensure service standards are achieved and that quality is to Oak Hill's Platinum-level standard. They demonstrate appropriate analytical skills, attention to detail, organizational, and project management skills. They are a creative driver for innovation and are passionate about club management with the prospect of continuous advancement within the organization. The individual has a genuine care for people and fosters a team culture. General Requirements: Complies with Oak Hill Country Club's Acorns of Excellence Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and dressed in accordance with Oak Hill Country Club'sappearance standards. Exceptional attention to detail. Anticipate guest and contact needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to concerns and requests. Exceptional communication abilities when interacting/ directing associates, guests, clients, and internal departments to build relationships. Able to consistently perform tasks with little direct supervision. Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers. Duties & Responsibilities: Leadership Leads through their commitment, honesty, attitude, communication, creativity, and willingness to listen and show appreciation. Creates a team culture through employee engagement, recognition programs, meetings, training sessions, and team retreats, Coaches their managers when there are breakdowns. Shows"how it is done"and leads by example. Management Works in conjunction with the Director of Restaurants to establish standard operating procedures that are consistent throughout each food and beverage outlet. They hold their team accountable for maintaining those established standards. Conducts daily facility inspections of the Grill Room and service areas to ensure areas maintain a standard of cleanliness and organization. The Senior Food & Beverage Manager is the "face" of the Restaurant. They are on the floor in the Grill Room during lunch and dinner meal periods and whenever else business dictates. They oversee pre-shift lineups and are visible and available to the membership and employees. Works in conjunction with the Director of Restaurants to coordinate training and professional development programs for leaders and line-level employees. Oversees recruitment, training, supervision, and progressive discipline of Grill Room Works with the Director of Restaurants to write the annual budget. Directs corrective action procedures as necessary to help assure that budget goal are attained. Monitors labor; evaluates scheduled and actual labor hours and costs. Develops an annual capital budget for all necessary food and beverage equipment and supply needs for the restaurant. Responsible for proper cash and charge procedures, member check analysis, tip reports, tip controls, and daily sales reports and analysis. Works with the Director of Restaurants, Beverage Manager, and Wine Manager to develop wine lists, craft cocktails, and liquor offerings. Completes periodic china, glass, and silverware inventories. Ensures that all laws applicable to the Food and Beverage operations are consistently followed. Ensures POS systems are programed correctly and operating effectively. Works with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Food & Beverage Managers, and Communications Department on menu updates and new menu rollouts. Performs administrative duties including daily logs, inventory spreadsheets, supply requisitions, payroll, and associate reviews. Supports the Director of Restaurants, Catering, and Banquet Teams with the planning and execution of all Club Events. Attends various department meetings including BEO, Wednesday Manager's Meeting, Event Recap & Upcoming Events. Serves as the Club's Food & Beverage Manager-on-Duty in the absence of the Director of Clubhouse Operations and Director of Restaurants. Other duties may be required as directed by the Director of Restaurants and Executive Team of Oak Hill. Food & Beverage Services Maintains professional relationships with the membership of Oak Hill to achieve personalized service. Maintains professional relationships with the employees of Oak Hill. Ensures both member and employee satisfaction scores through annual surveys meet or exceed expectations. Works in conjunction with the Director of Restaurants to determine root cause and develop action plans to correct service breakdowns. Works with Food & Beverage Managers on scheduling associates to maintain the service standards while operating within budgeted labor guidelines. Actively adjusts schedules according to forecasted business levels. Handles complaints in a professional manner from club members, guests, and others relative to the Food & Beverage Department. Keepscurrentwithchangingmemberpreferencesandindustry Marketing & Communication: Actively develops processes and marketing strategies to increase revenue. In tandem with the Director of Restaurants and Communications Department, assists with Grill Room communications to the membership. This includes Quercus,email communications, website, and podcasts. Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. Hospitality Management or Culinary Arts major preferred. Six or more years of leadership experience in food and beverage. Private Club experience preferred. Licenses & Certificates: Food safety certification. Alcohol safety certification. Wine certification is strongly preferred. Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government-required licenses, certificates, or permits. Valid driver's license. Physical Requirements: Must be able to continuously sit, stand and walk a minimum of 8 hours. Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds and perform strenuous work lifting. Must be able to bend, kneel, push, and pull over the course of a shift. All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per Oak Hill's grooming standards. Will be required to perform job functions outdoors and be exposed to sun, heat, humidity, and other elements. Must be able to work a flexible shift that includes early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and extended shifts. Mustbe18 years of age. Must have a reliable form of transportation to and from work.
