Description:
This full-time, lending-focused position is permanently located in the Sioux Center, IA location but does require initial training in the Le Mars, IA location. This initial training will provide a meaningful work experience in several key areas of lending and loan review. This position will work closely with bank staff to gain knowledge and understanding of bank policies, procedures, and regulations in agricultural/commercial lending and loan operations. Additionally, exposure to several other areas of the bank will provide an understanding of their importance to the lending function and bank as a whole. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Works directly with the head of the Credit Review Department to learn credit analysis and loan review. Completes credit line reviews, computes loan-to-value ratios and debt-service coverage ratios. Analyzes credit data and financial statements to determine degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money, Works closely with assigned mentor in ag/commercial lending to gain knowledge of bank's ag/commercial lending process, policies, and regulations, as well as attends prospective and existing customer calls. Responsible for learning the bank's analysis software and information systems. Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's Degree preferred At least 2 years of related agricultural business experience required Skills and Abilities Willing to network with all levels inside and outside of the organization. Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to compile, calculate, and process information in an accurate manner. Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite software.
