Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital, a part of Fairview Health Services, is currently seeking a dedicated Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team! Full time position to provide exceptional rehabilitative care to injured athletes and patients. The Certified Athletic Trainer will work in the outpatient rehab services department, orthopedic department and at local schools, community college and other community events as necessary. Must be NATA board certified. Grand Itasca offers a competitive wage and benefit package that includes: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401K, PTO, STDB. Qualifications: 1. Minimum of Bachelor's degree in health-related field with current NATA Board of Certification, Inc., certification. Masters preferred.2. One or two years of experience in athletic training setting is preferred. Entry-level graduates with NATA BOC certification will be considered.3. Current BLS (CPR) certification.4. Ability to interact with various types and ages of patients5. Ability to educate patients and their families.6. Must pass pre-employment physical and background check.7. Demonstrate participation in Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital's Mission, Vision & Values. 8. Maintains reliable and consistent attendance. Job Duties: 1. Provides treatment and documents service to patients.2. Communicates information regarding patient treatments within confidentiality guidelines.3. Provides athletic training services outside the Hospital and Clinic setting per state and NATA guidelines as requested.4. Participates in building team relationships inter- and intra-departmentally.5. Recognizes that employment is offered based on compliance with work schedules, which are the responsibility of the employee to follow.6. Abides by Hospital philosophy that we will provide and promote excellence in health care services and will recognize all our customers and their with respect and dignity.7. Responsible for following safe and healthful work practices.8. Communicates appropriately and clearly to physicians, facility staff and members of the department.9. Coordinates and assists with directing patient care to ensure patient's needs are met and facility policy is followed.10. Maintains records pertinent to personnel and operation of the department.11. Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.12. Consults other departments as appropriate to collaborate in patient care and performance improvement activities.13.
