Events Director We are seeking an Events Director to join a rapidly expanding & successful team, leading events within the world of sports, health & fitness, all over the U.S. You will be the onsite face of our brand as you and your events team interact with consumers. You will be responsible for managing all the strategy, planning, logistics and execution of events, including staffing. This role will also establish relationships with the virtual platforms, event coordinators, and attendees to make sure that each event runs smoothly and gains influence for the brand and its products. What you will be doing: Be the internal champion for experiential marketing, event activation. Set the strategy to support our brand vision and make this come to life for consumers through nationwide consumer facing events. Concepting creative activation campaigns to align with the brand's marketing plans Turning those ideas into a concrete experiential marketing strategy, sticking to approved budgets and maximizing ROI through the event tactics you select Ensuring that all staff members represent our brand well, including training on their responsibilities and event activation plans Maintaining communication with all team members throughout the planning process to ensure the best possible outcome of the event Ensuring that vendors, freight, and other service providers are hired and scheduled appropriately, deliver on commitments, and come in within approved budgets Managing the flow of operations during an event to ensure that everything runs smoothly, including setup, breakdown, activities, and tear down Overseeing the marketing and promotion of an event to ensure that it is well attended by the target audience Overseeing all aspects of event planning, including campaign activations, finances, contracts, timelines, staffing, and vendors Scheduling and managing staff hours, including setting up work schedules, ensuring that employees have appropriate breaks, and checking in with staff on the status of an event's progress Recruiting and onboarding new staff members to maintain an active, excited team Making sure that all events run smoothly by keeping an eye on attendees to make sure they are having a positive experience. What we expect from you: Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in related field with at least 4-5 years of relevant experience managing experiential marketing events; especially in running and/or cycling events, hospitality management, event planning, business management, or marketing/sales. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and leader with strong personal and organizational skills, an analytical and articulate team player with a professional demeanor who enjoys being part of an enthusiastic, business-oriented and committed team. Must be driven and able to work with a sense of urgency, adapt to any situation, travel often, maintain control of event process and be able to learn quickly.
