Logistics Specialist - BC Systems

Position Summary BC Systems, Inc is a distribution and cooling company of raw agricultural products. The Logistics Specialist provides clerical support to receive, ship, and inventory those commodities and related supplies. Position Function Work outdoors through all seasons and weather types including wind and rain, indoors under refrigerated conditions to 32F, wet, dusty, and noisy conditions. Work standing or bending repeatedly throughout work shift. Walk on uneven surfaces throughout facility complex as required. Seat and unseat self to forklift repeatedly throughout work shift. Climb several stairs to access office or dock apron areas. Work in a fast paced often-stressful environment. Capable of identifying proper temperature setting. Lift a carton of produce weighing 65 pounds above shoulders, repeatedly throughout workday. Acknowledge all types of carton materials, products and colors used in labeling. Able to perform job in a safe manner and identify potential safety hazards in the workplace. Knowledge of all safety rules for proper equipment operation and use. Basic troubleshooting of forklift equipment. Consistent visual inspections of equipment throughout work shift. Capable of communicating equipment issues to immediate supervisor. Maintain a daily startup system inspection log. Normal or corrected eyesight and hearing are required. Work the day, swing, or night shifts within a 7-day work week schedule. Relocate seasonally to/from California and Arizona. Performs other duties as assigned. Position Experience Qualifications Temperature probes analog or digital. Laser Temperature Probes to measure interior trailer temperatures. Basic Calculator Position Education & Training Preferred Possess forklift certification. Must be able to operate forklifts up to 6,000# GVW doubles electric and propane. Basic math calculations required.
