LC State invites applications for the position of Coordinator of Veterans ServicesSalary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $46,000 - $48,000 Degree Required: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or institution Required Qualifications: Strong communication and organizational skills Program development and management skills Working knowledge of VA Education Benefits and active military education programs Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or institution Honorable discharge from active duty military or current part-time active duty military (e.g., National Guard) Experience working in a higher education setting focused on student services Responsibilities: Processing paperwork to assist veterans and recipients of dependent educational assistance in accessing educational benefits; Complying with Veterans Administration regulations and policies; Engaging in outreach to active-duty military personnel, reservists, and veterans; Networking with local and regional veterans organizations; and Providing academic advising and otherwise engaging in activities to support the retention of veterans.
