Jr. Operations Manager About the job RHI Magnesita is seeking a dynamic Jr. Operations Manager to sit in Ashtabula, OH. This role will support Head of Plants - Saybrook, Pevely and Subcontracting in development of processes and continual improvement throughout operations. The ideal candidate for this role will have a business mindset, someone who can interact with all levels of the company, drives for results, and has a proven ability to problem solve. This role could be required to travel up to 40%, both domestic and international Tasks will include: Consolidate monthly and reporting of Key Performance Indicators Work in project teams to improve plant and business performance Collect and analyze data, identifying opportunities and developing target areas for improvement Collaboration with regional and global functions in the implementation of improvement projects Preparation of documentation, work instructions and procedures to ensure sustainable results Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards within a facilities Assist in transfer best practice across locations (globally) Preparation of communications and presentations across plant footprint to ensure common understanding and full alignment Support plant management teams to measure plant performance in most meaningful way Perform sit inspections and audits, documenting findings and aligning corrective actions Following up on project and open actions, highlighting issues causing delay or requiring resource to resolve General day to day support of Head of plants Representing Head of plants during site visits, following up on topics laid out in advance of visit About you Do you have: Technical bachelor's degree - preferably material sciences, ceramics, mechanical engineering, process engineering, Supply Chain or Business management Ideally 2 - 3 years of experience in a production environment A strong analytical and cross-departmental thinking Advanced proficiency in MS Suite, including Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word Structured and independent way of working Willingness to travel (max. 40%) What we bring to the table As a much-valued employer: We offer you a varied and challenging role within the world market leader that is driving positive change We give you the opportunity to take part in shaping the future of the industry leader in innovative technology Amazing benefits About RHI Magnesita RHI Magnesita is the result of the combination of RHI and Magnesita to form the global leading supplier of high-grade refractory products, systems, and services.
