In A Nutshell : Reporting to the Manager, Transportation Planning and Development, this position fulfills a facilitation/coordination role for active transportation initiatives. The focus of this position will be across four major categories fostering active transportation: Engineering: Improve Connectivity by Creating Safe and Convenient places to ride and walk. Education: Giving people of all ages and abilities the skills and confidence to ride and walk. Encouragement: Creating a strong cycling culture that welcomes and celebrates cycling. Evaluation & Planning : Planning for cycling and walking as a safe and viable transportation option.
