Job Description Duration: 8 months Positions Available: 1 Intake Date: Monday, May 6, 2024 Application Deadline: Monday, February 12, 2024 (we will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis) Minimum Qualifications: Must currently be enrolled in a recognized and accredited Canadian post-secondary institution throughout the duration of the co-op term. You must also be returning to a post-secondary institution after the co-op term is completed. Depending on the needs and location of the team, you will need to work PST or MDT or relocate to a specific office (Vancouver or site-based) Desired Background: The Business Analyst Co-op will have the opportunity of conducting business analysis, diagnostics, ranging, programming, statistical and economic modelling. Primarily responsible for the execution and analysis of Teck’s BI improvement initiatives to support decisions that achieve clearly demonstrable and sustainable business value across all our operations. This role is an exciting opportunity to help us become a leader in autonomous mining. You will have the chance to interact with senior leaders across the company, and work with OEMs, experts in our corporate and operations groups. Experience in this role will set you up for success for future opportunities within the company. Success will require a blend of technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Your analytical skills will allow you to tackle large and ambiguous business problems, while your interpersonal skills will allow you to lead multi-functional teams, such as developers, mining engineers, mine operations and continuous improvement specialists, to develop novel solutions.
