Creative Technician Job Type: Part Time, Permanent Location: London E14 6GN Salary: A GBP 34,770 : A GBP 35.862 per annum. Our client is a creative arts youth service designed to inspire. It has been shaped by young people, for young people. It offers free, state of the art sound, film, design, art and broadcasting facilities, alongside performance, dance, boxing, fashion. Styling and chill areas. They support and inspire young people to reach their full potential. The Role We are looking for a Creative Technician to deliver a top: quality programme of events in collaboration with the Spotlight team. To work with partners and young people to deliver events. To ensure our technical inventory is serviced, catalogued and maintained to the highest standard, upholding the company as East Londons top creative youth destination. Key Responsibilities To work with the team and young people to plan our annual events programme. To help staff, young people and partners to understand the equipment available and its technical capabilities for their event. To ensure they are able to commit planning time, technical and staffing resources I order to meet the events requirements. To meet with staff, young people or partners to plan their event production. To work with the comms and programming team to ensure events are promoted effectively. To create event budgets and provide quotes for external hire events. To lead technical support for events and youth work sessions To brief the whole staff team on upcoming events and designate supporting roles. To meet and greet partners, young people or artists who are running or taki8ng part in events and ensuring their technical requirements are met. To lead events rigging including stage building, furniture set ups, musical instruments, lighting, stage sets and backdrop curtains. This may include some heavy lifting.
