Job Description We are currently seeking a talented and versatile professional to join our team in the combined role of Business Analyst & Business Process Engineer. In this role, you will play a crucial role in understanding business needs, analyzing processes, and recommending innovative solutions to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities Direct Report to the Director of Projects Business Process Engineering Performs current state process mapping. Assess current state processes for adherence to policies and procedures. Able to establish recommendations for changes to procedure documentation. Create and maintain gap analysis detail reporting. Designs future state processes including process improvement, redesign and transformation. Communicates effectively with team members, and management. Identifies opportunities for automation. Take part in train the trainer knowledge transfers. Create and maintain reporting decks. Perform other duties as assigned. Business Analysis Duties Project Needs Analysis Discovery / Requirements Gathering Developing Conceptual Data Models Developing Project Charters Stakeholder Goals Success Metrics Business Case High Level Business Requirements Developing Functional Requirements Developing Wireframes Developing Training & Support Documentation System Analysis Duties System Documentation Retrieving and analyzing data via SQL Documenting existing systems from a business usage / domain aspect, technical writing Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of business process modeling. 5+ years of insurance sector experience. Lean & Six Sigma certifications or other equivalent Proven experience in both business analysis and business process engineering, preferably in a consulting or cross-functional team environment. Strong understanding of business processes, requirements gathering, and process modeling techniques. Proficiency in process mapping and modeling tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL). Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, Powerpoint). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate workshops and build strong relationships with stakeholders. Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements is a plus. Process data analytics and value stream mapping a plus. Ability to work well with others as well as independently and with minimal supervision. Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. Prior consulting experience preferred.
