This includes looking after residents with complex social, health and economic needs, helping them to exercise choice and control. The Role: The role of an approved mental health practitioner (AMHP) focuses on working with our residents involved in a wide spectrum of ASB; with all parties involved. The practitioner will be working within the ASB Team within Housing Management which brings a new dimension to most practitioner roles working withing Adult or Children Services. This is a new role and offers a unique opportunity to support residents or households with mental health issues, with a range of needs including being at risk of being involved in antisocial behaviour, dealing with hoarding issues, vulnerable to exploitation to sustain their tenancies. This newly established position is a key role to shape the support and intervention provided to residents with varying needs with the aim of empowering them to live independently and maintain their tenancies. Operating within a collaborative framework, AMHPs work closely with colleagues in Neighbourhood Services, Mental Health Services, Adult Social Care and other partners to address the multifaceted needs of individuals.
