Part Time Financial Controller Salary : A GBP 60,000 pro rata Our client a successful SME with an International presence are looking to recruit an experienced Qualified Accountant into the position of Financial Controller. Managing 1 member of staff and reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role forms part of the Senior Management team for the business and involves various duties beyond the standard finance tasks. Main Purpose of the Job: The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial activities to support the companys strategic and operational growth. This includes accurate and timely presentation of management and statutory accounts. Key Responsibilities: Budgeting and Financial Reports for the Board Prepare income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and reports. Oversee all accounting and costing procedures and systems. Analyse projections of sales and income against actual figures backss long term financial trends to aid future growth. Manage external relationships with banks, lenders, HMRC, and auditors. Review and manage commercial contracts to minimise risks to the business. Manage Cash Flow Oversee company insurances, foreign exchange, legal, and financial activities. Perform general duties as a senior manager, including health and safety, provide HR support, manage operations and IT systems Person Specification: To be successful in this role, you should have: Legal experience, especially reviewing contracts (preferred). An engineering or manufacturing background (preferred). Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills. Excellent problem: solving ability and innovative thinking. Self: motivation, organisation, and adaptability to change. Customer, bank, and investment: facing experience (essential). Experience in people management and team development.
