Project Worker : Part Time The Maples, Barnstaple GBP 11.52 20 hours per week : shifts covering Monday to Sunday, 8am : 10pm Would you like to make a difference that lasts long after the end of your shift? Could you help support our vulnerable adults towards independence? We are seeking an experienced Project Worker to join our friendly and dedicated team based at The Maples. This role involves working with individuals who are experiencing homelessness or the threat of homelessness, encouraging them to obtain the life skills necessary to move on to more independent living. The Maples is located within walking distance of the town centre and two parks, Pilton Park and Rotary Gardens in Barnstaple and with easy access to North Devons beautiful coastline. If you want to make a positive impact to people's lives, this is a great opportunity to come and work within an established and experienced team. Read more about The Maples on our website The role of Project Worker will include: backssing the needs of our residents by writing and updating support plans, and signposting access to education, training, employment and specialist agencies such as debt advice: Regular key working and support planning to ensure relevant support is provided, encouraging our clients to maximise their level of independence and resolve or prevent their homelessness : Offering advice in relation to fulfilling tenancy conditions: Assisting clients with managing finances and welfare benefits: Supporting residents to build confidence, resilience and self: esteem: Working with statutory and non: statutory agencies on behalf of the residents, actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required:.
