Our firm is hiring an associate attorney who will support us by conducting legal research, drafting documents, maintaining client files, and assisting with legal counsel. The ideal candidate will have some courtroom experience and strong legal research and writing skills. Responsibilities: --- Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings --- Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys --- Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients --- Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff --- Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently --- Prepare for and conduct civil and criminal hearings and trials Qualifications: --- Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members and senior attorneys --- Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA) --- Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school --- Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base --- Candidates must have passed the bar exam --- Be licensed in Georgia About Company: The Wright Legal Group, LLC is an award-winning law firm based in Columbus, Georgia with offices in Atlanta, GA, and Washington DC.
