These include waste-to-energy facilities, transfer stations, ash monofills, landfills, and fleets of rail cars and collection vehicles. We process more than 11 million tons of waste annually, converting 6.7 million tons of waste into clean, renewable energy that powers 340,000 homes. We recycle more than 234,000 tons of plastic, paper and metals from the waste stream. WIN Waste is currently looking for a B Level Heavy Equipment Mechanic who, under limited supervision, will repair and maintain our fleet of vehicles. Responsibilities: * Performs preventive maintenance services * Inspects, diagnoses and repairs vehicles and equipment * Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment * Performs service calls * Conducts safety checks on vehicles * Assists Lead Mechanics as needed * Reviews and completes repairs identified on Vehicle Condition Reports * Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and organizational standards * Completes paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounts for applied times Experience, Education, Certification: * Equivalent of (1) high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and 1 year of related equipment maintenance and repair; OR (2) 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair. * Valid driver license. Physical Requirements: * Handle tools, equipment, fine motor skills * Reach with hands and arms * Climb and walk on heights often greater than 4 feet * Occasionally must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs At WIN Waste Innovations, every employee receives a competitive total compensation package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability.
