CBM is a subsidiary of Votorantim Cimentos. CBM is comprised of two divisions - CBM Ready-Mix, delivering high-quality ready-mix concrete to a variety of customers, and CBM Aggregates who produces sand, gravel, and stone to an ever-growing market. Being part of CBM is being part of building famous landmarks such as Toronto's CN Tower, Roy Thompson Hall, Maple Leaf Gardens and more CBM values health and safety above all else Students will learn sought after skills and experience Open doorways for permanent full-time work after graduation STUDENT - QUALITY CONTROL (Aggregate) Length: 8 Months or 4 Months (April/May-December 2024) Rate of Pay: $19.50 per hour Location: Aberfoyle, St. Marys, Sunderland Status: Temporary Full Time Travel: Various - Company Truck Provided When Needed License: G2 or G Class Drivers License Working within CBM's Aggregate division, the Student - Quality Control will assist in managing the quality aggregate materials (sand, stone, and gravel). This position is ideal for a student looking to gain exposure in both a field and lab position while also gaining exposure in the surface mining industry. Essential duties and responsibilities: Sample aggregate products following CBM sampling policy. Perform all duties in a safe manner according to CBM procedures. Perform aggregate tests (gradations, physical properties) in accordance with specified test methods. Report in a timely and clear fashion the quality of products about production issues (targets, causes, solutions) and shipping issues (end user requirements). Maintain laboratory and testing equipment in an appropriate state of repair. Enter and process data both manually and on computer software supplied.
