SCHEDULE: Full Time TRAVEL REQUIRED: 0% - 25% COMPENSATION: $78,522.00 to $150,980.00 base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class. About Our OpportunityOur Communications Manager independently develops and executes corporate communications that supports the Farm Credit Mid-America and Rural 1st vision, brand and culture. This role will develop communications content and strategic communications plans to meet business objectives in customer and team member communications, regulatory communications, reputation management, crisis communications, and that engage, inform, and inspire team members and current customers. This position will develop and maintain strong working relationships with leaders and teams in a strategic and consultative role along with tactical execution. How You Will Spend Your Time Leads management of all communications, including strategy, content creation, writing, and editing. Supports annual Employee Engagement Survey. Supports senior leadership communications including content creation, writing, and editing using best practices. Serves as the business owner of the corporate intranet-maintain and manage the strategy and vision for the intranet. Leads ongoing improvement of the intranet platform as a primary communication tool for the company to increase engagement and communication association-wide. Provides content strategy and support for internal events. Serves as communications lead for strategic projects that directly impact team members and/or association-wide communications. Leads creation and execution of consistent communications that go directly to customers focused on operational and/or business needs including but not limited to closing, loan servicing, billing and crisis communications as needed. Coordinates with business leaders and government affairs team on regulatory and legislative communications at the local, state, and federal levels. Provides communications strategy and support in outreach programs, sponsorships, and community investments to enhance the association's role in communities. Provides content strategy and support for external events. Develop business fact sheets and brochures for use in meetings with legislative offices and community leaders. Leads tracking and measurement of all external communications efforts, socialize with necessary stakeholders and adjust accordingly. Serves as communications lead for strategic projects that have a direct impact on customers and/or go to market strategies. Supports creation and execution of integrated corporate communications calendar in collaboration with Public Relations Manager and Brand Experience Division. Leads monthly editorial team meetings with stakeholders within the Brand Experience Division to establish in advance stories for both brands that will be deployed. Develops, maintains, and manages infrastructure for content publication, including policies, process, and procedures, and ensures that agreed upon standards and good practice guidance are met. Supports sourcing and development of customer stories and testimonials in collaboration with Public Relations Manager and Brand Experience stakeholders to appropriately reflect our customers in go to market strategies across the division. Partners with other business units, web administrators, content owners and project stakeholders to identify opportunities and implement solutions that drive usage, streamline processes, and facilitate communications, developing goals and strategies for future content growth. Minimum Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in communication, marketing, or related field and at least four years of experience working in publication, news, business internet or intranet environment, OR post-secondary training in communication or a related field and at least seven years of experience working in publication, news, business internet or intranet environment. Mental & Physical RequirementsWhile engaged in this position, team members will routinely sit, use hands for tasks, and communicate orally. Standing or walking is frequently required, while occasional demands include reaching with hands and arms, and lifting or moving up to ten pounds. Vision requirements encompass close and distance vision. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level. This role may entail a blend of mental and physical capabilities, requiring strong mental acuity, problem-solving skills, and occasional physical tasks such as standing, lifting, or extended computer usage. Some roles may require physical or mental requirements related to driving, such as a valid driver's license, and the ability to drive a long-distance.
