A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SENIOR LEVEL PROFESSIONAL As a Senior-level professional, you are the engine of our business. Your hard work ensures that we deliver for our clients. Under the supervision of the Division Manager or Principal Professional, you will: Prepare and review of work plans, technical documents, and reports for federal, state, and local regulatory agencies Prepare and review of new clientele proposals for federal, state, and local regulatory agencies Develop the scope of environmental assessment and remediation projects from our diverse portfolio and manage them within budget Conduct regular field visits to drive project execution and ensure that appropriate health and safety procedures are being followed Review and approve supplier work proposals and invoices Evaluate/interpret data and prepare detailed reports Assist with marketing and business development Mentor junior staff to assist with their professional development Your people skills are essential as you interact regularly with local and national clientele as well as regulatory agencies. Though you do spend a lot of time visiting job sites and interacting with people, you also make sure to keep up on all your administrative responsibilities. Ensuring that clients are happy as well as that all jobs are delivered on-time, within the scope, and on-budget gives you a great sense of accomplishment! MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, engineering, or related field Seven or More years of experience in geological assessments, water supply, water treatment, environmental assessments, contaminant investigation, contaminant remediation, stormwater management, wastewater treatment, permitting projects, or compliance projects in the public and private sectors Consulting experience Strong working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations and experience interacting with governmental regulatory agencies Demonstrated ability to properly manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring compliance with deliverable timelines Professional Registration/Certification is a plus or ability to obtain within two years of hire Ability to travel within the western regional US DESIRED QUALITIES: Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of the consulting business Strong commitment to Safety and staff development Possess ability to effectively manage personnel and administrative functions Advanced technical capabilities associated with the specific field of expertise Motivated self-starter and ability to perform periodic field work Strong problem solving, research, and communication skills Ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards associated with site operations Willingness to conduct Business Development activities Technical writing competency and computer literacy In-depth experience with service line specific cost projections, budget preparation and tracking Ability to work individually and as a team member Are you detail-oriented? WORK SCHEDULE AND LOCATION This full-time project management position typically works Monday - Friday with office work and day-trip traveling; overnight work on a quarterly basis and some weekend work that may arise (emergency response).
