Key Information: Hours: Based on a 40-hour work week, (8 hours a day, Monday - Friday) with the potential for overtime as required. Hourly rate is dependent on experience. Health benefits and vacation pay offered. Job Description: We are currently recruiting an Occupational Health Nurse based in our Fort Saskatchewan office. This position is a key member of the safety & health team and works closely with site supervisors and management. This individual will provide Occupational Health Nursing services to the standards of practice recommended by the Alberta Association of Registered Nurses. The Occupational Health Nurse will take a proactive approach, working with employees to reduce injuries through education, consultation, and various employee wellness initiatives. Manages and oversees the evaluation and treatment of employees with injuries and/or illnesses and referral to a physician or hospital, and subsequent follow-up treatment. Manages health care service provided to employees and subcontractors. Reviews and monitors medical services contracts for projects or facilities (e. g. consulting physician, emergency response, emergency care providers, emergency evacuation.
