Safety is a core value and STARS’ Leadership Team, and its Board of Directors is committed to physical and psychological health and safety of all who work here. Our goal is to protect people from harm by managing hazards and risks to acceptable levels. By doing so we strive toward excellence in patient care and the safety of the transport environment. As the Safety Investigator, you will conduct incident investigations to help prevent future similar incidents and to investigate hazard reporting to help prevent an incident across our organization. You will also have broad exposure to incidents &/or hazards across our major business units of Aviation, Clinical, Emergency Link Center (ELC) and Corporate Support & Foundation. You will be responsible for investigations across all business units as well as injuries, illness, near misses and hazard reporting within each department. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of all safety reports, documenting investigations, and recommended action in the company safety database. You will also monitor the timely completion of safety recommendations and escalate challenges to the appropriate leadership. This position could be based at any of the STARS bases. Do you have what it takes? Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough investigation of reported hazards and safety incidents, aviation occurrences and sentinel event reporting, failure mode analysis, systems design, failure modes and effects analysis.
