This position is designed for a person with people skills and who wants to be a trial attorney. The position will assist in all aspects of trial preparation from preparing demand letters to verdict forms. There is an opportunity for significant courtroom experience and client interaction. • This is a great opportunity to get courtroom experience. Compensation includes PTO, 401K, and health, vision, and dental insurance. Responsibilities:• Prepare all necessary legal documents for pre-trial and trial proceedings, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and depositions.• Conduct thorough investigation and research as needed for case preparation.• Assist in organizing and conducting focus groups for case evaluation. Qualifications: Required skills: • Member of the California Bar• Good understanding of evidence under California and Federal law• Good writing skills• Computer skills – Microsoft 365, Westlaw Pluses for the Job: • Prior litigation experience• Understand civil procedure• Investigation skills• Writing experience Compensation: $125,000+ plus DOE About Company: About Us: The Kaufman Law Firm represents employees in litigation including wrongful termination, wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims.
