Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. 40 hours/week. You may already know that we are a faith-led agency, providing compassionate, person-centered care to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, trauma, addiction and other life troubles through residential or emergency housing and programs, and a food and clothing community service. Our objective is to nurture and grow existing programs and services and implement the best practices to meet the needs of our clients - all while sharing the Gospel message. Our compensation package includes a 70% contribution towards health care premium, free dental, vision, and supplemental disability insurances, mental health support through a robust employee assistance program, as well as up to 5 weeks paid time off per year. COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULING The salary range for this position is $ 42,000-48,000. The typical starting rate for someone with a 4 year degree and limited experience is $ 4 2 ,000 per year . We will consider a candidate with an Associate's degree or diploma/GED if they can demonstrate the equivalent knowledge through their professional experience and/or certifications. Compensation is negotiable for a candidate with higher level of education and/or experience. RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS Our Women's Dorm is a satellite extension of our Samaritan's House and provides 14 bed women emergency shelter. Under the general direction of the Shelter Manger, will provide housing support and case management to interested and participating shelter guests. When not with shelter guests, the Case Manager will perform responsibilities typical of all shelter workers. Activities may include but are not limited to: maintaining cleanliness of work area, inventory and stocking, assisting with bed line and assignments, assisting with laundry services, dorm inspections, linkage referrals to internal and external services, attending community meetings, and community outreach. While this position is not a supervisor, it is the most senior level position on staff in the dorm will act as a liaison between case aids and the Samaritan House Manager or Supervisor on shift , help train and orient new staff . Case Managers may perform inspections of sleeping areas and monitor residential living , and address client substanc e abuse, conflicts and altercations. These positions are required to enter shower areas, bathroom s , resident rooms , or other areas that are personal in nature to conduct inspec tion s , drug testing and address concerns or any behavior issues. This can result in exposure to women and/ or men in various states of dress. Open Door Mission takes precautions to ensure both staff and client safety. O ur intake process assesses client's potential for risk to self and others while in our program, and provides recommendation or referrals for those who do not meet eligibility requirements. D ue to client history , the influence and impact of substance use/alcohol and/or presence of underlying mental health conditions may impact their judgement and ability for self-control .
