Recovery Coordinator - Training (106) Fresno, CA Blue Sky Wellness Center at Kings View Behavioral Health was developed in 2007 with funding from Fresno County as a consumer centered and consumer driven wellness and recovery environment for individuals with mental illness. The primary focus is on key health principles: dispensing hope, having freedom of choice, modeling self-determination and personal responsibility. We believe and know that members (consumers) can and do recover and heal from past trauma and mental illness. Self-help and peer support are the foundation for Blue Sky's peer community. Under minimal supervision will work in tandem with the Recovery Services Administrator and other staff to provide opportunities for members to engage in recovery, resilience and wellness-based training activities at Blue Sky Wellness Center. In addition, this position will work in collaboration with the other Coordinators to ensure that all training needs are being met. How will I contribute Plans a monthly calendar of all training activities to be conducted at the Blue Sky Wellness Center. All training activities are planned accordingly and not in conflict with other major events at the center. Ensures all training activities are recovery, resilience and wellness focused. In collaboration with other Coordinators, conducts a formal assessment of training needs within the center on an annual basis or more often as needed. Develops/designs new curriculum and training material based on identified needs within the center. Maintains all curriculum and training materials in an organized manner. Develops annual training outcomes and collects data on an ongoing basis to analyze the success of the training program. Prepares a Monthly Training Summary Report and an annual Training Outcome Report. Facilitates training activities using a variety of delivery methods to keep members engaged. Provides direct oversight, support and guidance to other staff and/or volunteers that conduct training activities at the center. Facilitates train-the-trainer sessions for other staff and volunteers that conduct training activities at the center. Maintains a tracking system of all training activities conducted at the center, including member participation and course completion. Coordinates and collects instructional effectiveness feedback from all training activities that occur at the center. This includes feedback on the performance of the trainer, as well as the content of each training activity. Enhances knowledge and stays apprised of/learns new training methods and techniques by attending meetings, workshops and seminars. Plays an active role in and supports new program initiatives. • Engage with members in a way that they feel heard and supported. Support members to take the lead in their own Recovery and Resilience Plan. Exercise good decision-making skills in small and group situations. Support members to diffuse conflict and promote learning self-regulation skills. Submit all complaints and/or incident reports directly to the Recovery Services Administrator daily or when they occur. Other duties as assigned by the Recovery Services Administrator. What I bring Bachelor's Degree 1 year experience working with clients in a mental health/behavioral health setting. Experience working in an environment with a focus on wellness and recovery. Must have lived experience as a person who has received/or is receiving behavioral health services or a family member of person who has received/receiving behavioral health services. Two (2) years training experience developing training curriculum and conduct training. Class C Driving License Required Knowledge of adult instructional and learning theory/principles. Knowledge of instructional design, training methodologies and competency assessment. Must have basic understanding and appreciation for recovery and resilience principles. Outstanding presentation and communication (both verbal and written) skills. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to model patience, tolerance and kindness towards members and staff. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and can manage multiple interruptions throughout the day. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Ability to work as part of a team and in tandem with the Blue Sky staff to provide a welcoming and safe environment where members can share and grow Work Ethic -Flexibility -Ability to work in harmony with co-workers -Ability to work in harmony with the clients and public. Preferred, valid California post-secondary teaching certificate.
