The ideal candidate should possess significant litigation and trial experience, particularly in bodily injury, first-party bad faith defense, and general insurance defense.Duties:Handle civil cases through trial, including taking depositions, attending oral arguments and hearings, negotiating settlements, and providing comprehensive client reports.Manage appearances and assignments with minimal or no supervision.Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to achieve case objectives.Maintain organized case files and documentation.Requirements:7+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation.Proficiency in handling bodily injury, first-party bad faith defense, and general insurance defense cases.Trial experience preferred.Current license to practice law in Utah; additional licensure in other states is a plus.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Motivated and self-starting attitude.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Utah State Bar; additional state bar admissions preferred.Skills:Litigation and trial experience.Legal research and writing proficiency.Negotiation skills.Case management and organization.Communication and interpersonal skills.Job Location: Salt Lake City, UTBenefits offered:401(k)Dental InsuranceHealth insuranceLife insuranceVision insurance With offices and a network of experts across the country in various major metropolitan areas allow this mid-sized defense law firm to provide the highest level of legal services.
