Requisition No:828183 Agency: Commission on Offender Review Working Title: OPS COMMISSION INVESTIGATOR : Pay Plan: Temp Position Number: Salary: 18.00 hourly Posting Closing Date: 04/30/2024 Total Compensation EstimatorTool OPS COMMISSION INVESTIGATOR FLORIDA COMMISSION ON OFFENDER REVIEW ***OPEN COMPETITIVE *** The Florida Commission on Offender Review, formerly known as the Florida Parole Commission, is looking to fill the OPS Commission Investigator. The Commission on Offender Review performs a vital role in Florida's criminal justice system by preserving the autonomy needed in post:release decisions affecting inmates and ex:offenders. The commission functions as a quasi:judicial, decision:making body. Commissioners preside over weekly meetings at the central office in Tallahassee and various other state locations as required by statute. During these public proceedings, the commissioners make a variety of determinations regarding parole and other releases. The commission acts as the administrative and investigative arm of the governor and Cabinet who sit as the Board of Executive Clemency. Position Description : Print and analyze inmate Conditional Release and Addiction Recovery interview packets received from the Florida Department of Corrections.: Schedule inmate Conditional Release and Addiction Recovery interviews for upcoming dockets, in a timely manner.: Conduct a quality assurance review of all special conditions the Commission has placed on inmates who will be released on Conditional Release and Addiction Recovery Supervision. Review the language of the special conditions to ensure the appropriate data entries have been entered into the Corrections Data Center (CDC) database.: Process travel requests for offenders actively serving Conditional Release Supervision and Addiction Recovery Supervision.: Process offender death notifications received from the Florida Department of Corrections for offenders who were actively serving Conditional Release Supervision and Addiction Recovery Supervision.: Perform other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications: : A High School Diploma. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Knowledge of the criminal justice system.: Skill in the operation of personal computers.: Ability to work independently.: Ability to work under stressful conditions.: Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of assignments.: Ability to communicate effectively.: Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships.
