Description:

Role: Cloud Database Developer ( Microsoft Dataverse) Location: Remote Key Responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced Cloud Database Developer with expertise in developing and maintaining high quality database solutions with Microsoft Dataverse and Microsoft SQL for Azure ensuring optimal performance, scalability and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database development, with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (Microsoft Dataverse preferred). As a Cloud Database Developer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of our databases, while also contributing to database design and the implementation of DevSecOps practices. Database Design and Development: Collaborate with application developers to integrate databases with Microsoft Power Platform solutions, and other cloud services, enhancing functionality and user experience. Collaborate with architects and development teams to design and implement database schemas, data models, and relational database structures that meet business requirements and performance objectives. Conduct database design reviews and provide recommendations for optimizing data storage, indexing strategies, and data access patterns. Utilize data modeling tools and techniques to create conceptual, logical, and physical data models for application databases. DevSecOps Implementation: Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to implement DevSecOps practices application databases. Integrate database security controls into CI/CD pipelines using Atlassian Bitbucket, GitHub Actions, or similar tools to automate security assessments and vulnerability scans. Implement policy and security recommendations to enforce compliance with regulatory requirements and security standards. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff and development team members on database design and development. Participate in architecture reviews and provide recommendations for optimizing database deployments and configurations. Collaboration: Participate in Agile development cycles, contribute to sprint planning, and collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate database services into continuous integration and deployment pipelines. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand database requirements and provide technical guidance. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience with Microsoft Dataverse and leveraging its capabilities to support custom application development preferred. Proven experience as a Database Developer managing Microsoft Dataverse or Microsoft SQL Server databases. Experience with cloud-based identity and access management services (e.g., Azure Active Directory (AAD) or Microsoft Entra ID). Strong understanding of database design principles, data modeling, and relational database structures. Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and experience implementing them in Azure cloud environments. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. US citizenship required. Professional Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information. Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors. Strong stakeholder management, including advising and influencing clients regarding process improvement initiatives, and working positively. Skilled communicator with clients and employees. Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills. Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
