Chartwells, a leader in foodservice management, is seeking an Executive Chef at the University of Idaho located in scenic Moscow, ID. The selected candidate will lead culinary operations for a high volume residential dining hall on campus. Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Training: Lead and mentor a team of chefs, cooks, and culinary professionals, providing guidance on food preparation, presentation, safety, and sanitation practices.Culinary Excellence: Set and uphold culinary standards, ensuring compliance with recipes, food quality, and presentation standards that exceed expectations.Menu Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute innovative menus and concepts that tantalize the taste buds and delight the senses.Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels of food and supplies, adhering to budgetary guidelines while ensuring seamless operations and product availability.Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations, fostering a safe and hygienic culinary environment.Financial Oversight: Forecast annual food and labor costs, monitoring financial performance to drive efficiency and profitability.Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities, attending meetings, staff development sessions, and industry programs to stay ahead of culinary trends and best practices.Adaptable Support: Embrace flexibility and adaptability, taking on additional duties as needed to ensure the success of our culinary operations.
