Youre the wizard behind the sawmill, turning technical puzzles into electrifying solutions As the PLC Technician, you will assume responsibility for the safe maintenance, repair, installation, and modification of all equipment associated with the sawmill operations. Your role entails leveraging your skills to optimize uptime, uphold quality standards, and enhance production efficiency. The opportunity available is for our 1st shift at our Graham, NC Plant. A day in the life of a PLC Technician includes: : Act as the lead person on projects, installations or other assignments: Follow all safety guidelines, policies and procedures as required for this job: Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical equipment to help meet production goals: Troubleshoot and maintain three (3) phase electrical systems including PLC system: Diagnose the cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventive and corrective maintenance: Troubleshoot and maintain three (3) phase electrical systems including PLC system: Set up and perform calibrations on equipment: Troubleshoot low:voltage systems: Assemble and test experimental motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components: Plan, direct,and record periodic electrical testing and recommended or initiate modification or replacement of equipment that fails to meet acceptable operating standards For this role, come equipped with: : 3:5 years of Industrial Electrician or Maintenance Technician experience with a strong background in PLCs: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills: Solid background in heavy industry and construction Ideally, you also hold a diploma or degree in Industrial Electrical or Maintenance Technician studies, coupled with a solid understanding of the lumber manufacturing process.
