Summary: Surfline is looking to engage a professional accounting service provider, familiar with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), to assist the company's Finance department with performance and optimization of its accounting tasks and processes. Under Surfline’s “Work from Anywhere” policy, this position may be performed on a full-time remote basis from a variety of locations in the US. What You'll Do: Work in a project-based, contractor capacity to deliver accounting services. Assess and provide recommendations for improvements and processes around Company’s current accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Develop and optimize processes and deliverables for balance sheet reconciliations. Assist Surfline's Accounting department with end-close deliverables such as equity, payroll, and revenue reporting for the Company and its subsidiaries. Provide support and expertise on additional finance and accounting-related projects as needed. What We're Looking For: Working knowledge of US GAAP. Experience in the accounting field. Experience with intercompany accounting and consolidation. Experience with accounting for international entities. Interested contractors must have an independently established business to provide professional services and necessary equipment to fulfill the services and deliverables. The ability to provide services and deliverables for deadlines and requested projects during standard business hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Pacific time preferred). A few important details: We are seeking a contractor for the provision of professional services described above, this is not a posting for full-time, part-time, or temporary employment. The project timeline will run from May to September, requiring 20 hours per week.
