Production Accountant

We are seeking a Production Accountant to join our team at ALH Building Systems located in Markle, Indiana. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing inventory and ensuring the accurate handling of raw materials. This role requires a strong aptitude for analysis, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office, and a profound interest in the construction industry. The ability to work independently and self-motivate is highly valued. This position presents an excellent opportunity to play a crucial role in a successful company, working alongside an outstanding team. Compensation is based on experience, offering a range of $22 to $28 per hour, with options for both full-time and part-time positions. Responsibilities:• Confirm incoming inventory• Actively participate in inventory storage plans• Count/confirm in-stock inventory for raw materials, manufacturing goods, and all consumables• Assist purchasing staff by checking upcoming materials needs against current and allocated inventory• Design and build Microsoft Excel-based spreadsheets as needed• Create outbound shipping documents and note any back-ordered items• Manage equipment maintenance spreadsheet and schedule maintenance tasks • Schedule and confirm outsourcing maintenance for assets not maintained by in-house staff• Assist plant manager with procurement of materials Qualifications:• Manufacturing and Inventory accounting experience• 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word• Experience with Sage accounting software a plus• Customer service oriented and excellent communication skills• Accuracy, organization skills, and attention to detail are essential• Experience including other accounting areas desirable• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus Compensation: $22 - $28 hourly About Company: We own and operate one of the largest truss and panel operations in the Midwest.
