Responsibilities: In this new 24-bed unit, you will lead your team as they care for a maximum RN-to-patient ratio of 1:2. You will be working closely with all multidisciplinary team members ranging from the physician and specialty consultants, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, case managers, and pharmacists. This unit ranges from moderate to high acuity cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients. You will play an essential role in leading your team in order to provide the best patient care possible. Qualifications: Education High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred Experience 2 years staff RN experience in area of specialty providing a full spectrum of care in a variety of situations required May substitute 2 years supervisory experience in lieu of 2 years staff RN experience Experience coordinating clinical care and providing mentorship, education, and training to staff nurses. Experience as a Nurse Supervisor or a similar position in an acute care hospital preferred Licenses and Certifications RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required ACLS - Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required NATIONAL - National Certification related to specialty and applicable to role preferred Disclaimers: --- Pay ranges listed are an estimate and subject to change. --- If any bonuses are noted, they are only applicable to external hires meeting criteria.
