AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to immediately hire to fill the role of Warehouse Supervisor at our Culinary Support Center in Akron, OH. This position will work day-shift Monday - Friday with on-call as needed. Founded in 1960, AVI Foodsystems has evolved into one of the most respected and trusted food service companies in the nation. Duties & Responsibilities: * Oversee supervision of the warehouse team and effective operation of packing, shipping, receiving and inventory * Support the Branch Manager in safe, efficient and economic running of the Warehouse * Oversee and participate in the preparation of items for shipping, receiving, storing and inventory * Oversee and participate in incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments, which includes lifting and carrying materials * Review records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures * Review shipping discrepancies as needed and work to rectify problems with relevant team members * Conduct Inventory counts * Order warehouse supplies when needed * Develop and maintain an effective department, assist in the selection, training, motivation and review of team members * Perform other related duties as assignedRequirements: * Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working in a warehouse or in a shipping/receiving role * Previous experience in vending/foodservice is preferred * Light maintenance experience preferred * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills * Outgoing, personable, and ability to communicate with all levels of a company * Ability to multi-task * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Good driving record * Professional appearanceBenefits: AVI offers: * A family culture and atmosphere * Competitive compensation * Health, dental, vision, and life insurance for full-time team members * 401(k) with generous company match * Paid vacations and holidays * Immense training and growth opportunitiesText AVI to 51893 to join our talent network and apply!
