DEPARTMENT: Finishing LOCATION: International Gamco (9335 N 48th St. Omaha, NE) SCHEDULE: MON-TH (3:45 PM - 2:15 AM) What You'll Do This position is a full-time permanent position in a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for assisting in the manufacturing of charitable and lottery gaming products, including pull-tab tickets (break-open tickets) and bingo paper. The Gluer Operator will be responsible for production of tickets at International Gamco or American Games. Key duties include efficient operation of the Gluer equipment, attention to quality and team building. This role also includes review of game documentation and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include: Demonstrate ability to learn Gluer operational systems, both sheet transport/registration as well as glue application system. Coordinate and coach feeder operator and helper for both quality and thru-put. Ensure all safety procedures are followed in the operation of the gluer. Adhere to all quality control standards. Ensure web document procedures and instructions are followed. Oversee and direct employees assigned to the machine center. Operate and monitor all functions of the gluer as necessary. Utilize the "Trouble Shooting" guide procedures for improving the through-put efficiency. Ensure general upkeep of the machine is maintained satisfactorily. Verify completion and accuracy of all shift reports and logs. Train designated back up operator in all functions and duties of the "Gluer Operator" position. Attain daily shift minimum production requirements and lead crew in the achievement of the shift production goal. Keep area clean and organized at all times. Communicate and coordinate with the Shift Supervisor on all of the above responsibilities. Oversee and perform the prescribed "Start-up Procedures" of the gluer operation. Communicate with the Feeder Operators and Checkers before the start- up of each form for any special instructions, changes, problems, etc. Check schedule and make sure the quantities listed have been collated. Ensure there is enough index to complete the run. Initial the "web document report sheet" indicating that you have read and understand the required procedures. Continually monitor glue pattern, plate and impression for proper settings. Keep track of index waste quantity. Complete production reports and all other shift reports as required. Contact Supervisor immediately if production, safety or quality standards are not being satisfied. Ensure the designated back up operator performs the required job functions of the primary operator a minimum of 25% of the time for cross training purposes. Perform the job functions of a Feeder Operator or Checker as necessary. Other duties as assigned. What You'll Need High School Diploma or GED Associate's Degree required or equivalent work experience Bachelor's Degree preferred 4+ years' experience Technical Training specific to responsibilities Ability to direct subordinates Ability to make decisions pertaining to success of job Keen attention to detail Ability to work well in a diverse environment Ability to work well in a diverse environment.
