Overview CandyCo LLC, a Lindon, UT manufacturer of chocolates, caramels, and confections, is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Research and Development Technician with an eye for accuracy and presentation to help prepare product samples and sample shipments. Duties and responsibilities Manage daily shipments by following a shipment request form to fulfill requested samples. Select the most ideal samples and pack for most impressive presentation. Pack shipments appropriately for safe transport. Ensure packaged shipments are assembled on time for freight companies to pick up. Assist the R&D team in creation of product samples (scale ingredients, help make confections). Properly label, store, and organize product samples to preserve freshness and quality. Assist with other projects, on the bench, plant floor, or in office as needed. Skills Required Passion for presentation (making products look good). Reliable and accurate execution of tasks. Comfortable juggling busy list of priorities and asking clarifying questions. Ability to follow directions & recipes. Organized and able to maintain an orderly space. Ability to work in food allergen areas (nuts, dairy, egg, etc.). Ability to stand for multiple hours at a time and move for most of the day. Required to lift 30lbs. Education and/or Experience Basic computer and mathematical skills including data and spreadsheet management and weight and measurement conversions. Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel Food preparation experience preferred.
