Architectural Intern/Technician

Description:
Use computer-assisted drafting systems (like AutoCAD) to develop and produce scaled models and drawings for study and presentation under the direct supervision of the architectural design team. Create proposals for commercial and residential projects including finish outs, additions, and renovations. Draft plans and detailed drawings for structures and construction projects. Periodically direct the efforts of less experienced technicians and interns. Synchronize the work of different consultants to coordinate and meet deadlines for the various milestones involved in each project. Receive, process, route and return project related shop drawings. Maintain a log identifying and tracking submittals through the office. Analyze codes, regulations and laws to determine their effect on architectural designs and construction projects. Use 3D Software (Revit) and Lumion (Rendering Software) to create rendering proposals for clients throughout the different phases of the design process. Meet with clients to discuss their project's scope of work, the milestones to achieve in each phase, the budget, the initial ideas prior to the design and the proposals of their project. Conduct numerous site visits throughout the duration of the project for several purposes, which include but are not limited to meeting minutes, site walkthroughs, field measurements, condition and assessments. TRAVEL REQS: Travel will take place to Laredo, Texas twice per year.MINIMUM REQS: Bachelors Degree or Foreign Degree Equivalent in Architecture. Ability to use Revit, AutoCAD, Lumion, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, Word and Excel. Knowledge of the use of computer systems and program interoperability.
