RPM proudly services the some of the most recognizable and transformative companies in the world as The Driving Force in Logistics™ Your Role The Director, Quality & Damage Prevention will be accountable for the development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of a quality program. This leader will ensure our internal departments, carrier partners, and on-site services have the controls in place to meet the quality, integrity, and efficiency standards set by the organization. This position will work across many departments to ensure we are meeting our company performance standards to reduce liability and strengthen both our customer and carrier relationships. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Establish quality standards with acceptable criteria/variation parameters, record keeping and documentation to establish a full quality program. Develop and instill quality philosophies, strategies, policies, and procedures that will drive RPM’s goals for a company-wide quality culture, and complete customer and carrier satisfaction. Establish appropriate parameters and specific statistical measurements to proactively identify opportunities to improve quality, investigate root causes, develop viable solutions, and accurately monitor the results. Work closely with customer sales and operations to establish protocols and procedures necessary to immediately respond to customer complaints or inquiries, disseminate information, collaborate on solutions with the appropriate departments, monitor the progress/resolution and effectively communicate the results. Train, develop and qualify on-site quality auditors on RPM’s best practices for quality assurance and rendering consistent unbiased decisions on inspections and procedure. Provide active and open communication within RPM, our suppliers, and customers, and promote positive interactive dialogue between the various groups. Keep up to date of the latest logistics quality developments, best practice methodologies and advanced technologies to ensure high competency standards. Oversee RPMs claims 3 rd party department and report on KPI data, trends, carrier performance, etc. Communicate to management and executive leadership status updates, areas of opportunity and remediation plans. Perform other related duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of proven experience in Quality Management or related field. Logistics experience is preferred but not required. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills. Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills to determine root cause of issues. Skilled in creating and maintaining professional relationships within all levels of the organization. Possess a high degree of initiative. Strong logical reasoning skills, detail-oriented, with strong follow through. Ability to gather, review, and analyze data to provide actionable insights. Capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapting to changing circumstances. Strong computer skills working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc., and Power BI.
