Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fortinet / FortiGate Firewall Engineer for an onsite 6 week contract in Indianapolis, Indiana. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security, specifically with FortiGate firewalls. This role will involve designing, implementing, and managing firewall solutions to protect our clients' networks from cyber threats. Key Responsibilities: Design, configure, and deploy FortiGate firewall solutions to meet client requirements. Monitor and maintain firewall infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. Troubleshoot and resolve firewall-related issues in a timely manner. Perform regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions. Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate firewall solutions with existing network infrastructure. Develop and maintain documentation for firewall configurations, policies, and procedures. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in network security and firewall management. Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience working with FortiGate firewalls. Fortinet NSE certification (NSE 4 or higher) is highly preferred. Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching. Experience with firewall policy creation, VPN setup, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
